Hey Guys!!!
Its week 5! Which means that our class deadline is coming up really fast. So thats a little nerve racking to me, But I think we'll do good regardless. So, we should be posting our website within the next week, so be on the look out!! (I'll make an announcement on here, including the link, when it does come out!)
Anyways! Today in class we did a gallery walk, which means we all set out what we have, so far, for our projects and people came around to look at them. So you can imagine that we got a decent amount of feedback! What struck me the most during the gallery walk was how interested some people were and how "good" their questions were. Lots of questions that they asked really made me think, and gave me some ideas to improve our project. For example, someone suggested that we conduct interviews with people that have experienced and survived some of these disorders, telling people that it is okay to seek help. I feel that that could be a valuable thing to add in this project.
What my partner and I have accomplished since our last blog entry is working on the anxiety script and finalizing all of our other scripts with the help of our mentor, Arava. We went to meet with Arava last Thursday and showed her the depression, anorexia, and bulimia scripts. There we received lots of feedback on how to make our scripts more realistic and overall better. Later that week we had started working on the anxiety script and are currently, almost done with it!
Something that we have been recently having trouble with is writing the anxiety script. Im not entirely sure why we are having so much trouble, though we have decided to specifically focus on Social Anxiety Disorder. So that made things a little easier.
Our next step of action will be filming! We plan to finalize the final script by the end of this week and start filming over break!
Well that's it for this week! I don't know if we'll have an update next week, seeing that it will be Spring Break. So just to give you guys a heads up! And be sure to check out Lydia's Blog at http://lsouthworth.weebly.com/20-blog
